Oh, how timely!
Tonight is the opening night of a group show I'm participating in. It's the first exhibition of my photographs, so I'm totally jazzed!
I'm joining my other family of photo malcontents, the TPMG Photography Club here in Toronto. It's at Art Square Gallery, 334 Dundas St. West, across from the AGO. The show runs from tonight, December 20 through January 22.
Photgraphy/Community/Spirit
Formed barely a year ago as the Toronto Photography Meetup Group, the club has wildfired into a 750+ member monster, with official outings happening every sunday, and impromptu ones flaring up during the week. Atmosphere is casual, with the newest noob being helped out by the more experienced pros.
Seems I'm running into TPMGers everywhere I go in this burg, camera in hand.
Reflecting the diversity of the Club, content and theme of the show is fast-and-loose - the only similar thread being the love of that shutter click, whether mechanical or digital. It's a celebration of the fun and eventful year we've had.
If you're a T.O. based Utatan, but haven't dallied with us yet, you're very welcome to show up at any meet.
Not local? There's some great photography at the TPMG flickr group.
Visit the site and say hi!
