editor's note: Most if this text was taken from Take Itaha's entry in the bulletin board thread on the Utata group on flickr.
This summer I have spent a lot of time photographing a population of damselflies in the middle of the city and very close to where I live. While walking with my camera, I often talked to the people living there, and I explained what I was doing and how nice it was that they had this population of the Banded Demoiselle (Calopteryx splendens) there.
I was looking for a way to show those people my photos. They are not very familiar with internet, so I asked the local environmental center if they could exhibit my photos. They were happy to do so.
And so it came to be: my first exposition. I found it kind of scary and I put a lot of work in choosing which photos to show, processing those photos so they would look good and writing some texts to tell something about the species of damselfly.
But now the work is finished. The photos are hanging there, my girlfriend helped me a lot.
More information on the exhibit can be found here and here (in Dutch).
