I shot my first wedding yesterday. It really is a tremendous amount of work.
I've known Anthony and Niesha for years, and I tried to talk them into going with a photographer who routinely does weddings - my recurring fear was that my equipment would fail; I warned ominously that apart from spare batteries I had no backup kit, and so if something died that was that. But they are fans of my stuff and really wanted me to do it, and so I did, and it was nail-biting fun. I was so stressed that I couldn't get to sleep once it was all over.
As it happened, my second camera battery did fail. Good thing it happened just as dinner was served, and I had brought my charger.
