The Chinese characters for Tai Chi Chuan mean, roughly, 'Supreme Ultimate Force'. They are in keeping with the Chinese concept of yin-yang; the notion that there is a duality (male/female, active/passive, dark/light, forceful/yielding, as examples) in all things. Alike to a story where conflict must be present to provide an interesting plot, this photograph finds its own gorgeous duality in light and dark and texture and tone. Here, human grace meets human ingenuity. Perhaps the two halves of these beautifully split infinities are Tai Chi Chuan.
