The poet Thomas Edward Brown tell us that a garden is "a lovesome thing" and the "veriest school of peace." Who are we to argue with the poets? Anybody who has ever cultivated one knows a garden grows more than plants. Tranquility grows in a garden, although at times it can be stunted by weeds of frustration. Comfort is there, as is pleasure. And beauty, of course. Always beauty.
This garden grows voluptuous, succulent light. And we all get to enjoy the harvest.
