Blessed is the hotel room, for there the weary traveller finds respite from the burdens of the day.
Blessed is the uniformity of the room, for its nondescript anonymity provides solace and comfort to the constant wanderer.
Blessed is the room service menu, for there is relief and relaxation in the solitary meal in front of the television.
Blessed is the light, for it redeems the hotel room and resurrects the traveller's spirit.

These are the beatitudes of business travel, the solemn blessings that make life on the road bearable. The vacation traveller seeks novelty of experience, the holiday traveller seeks recreation and amusement. The business traveller wants constancy, regularity, familiarity.

The photographer only wants the light.
