Spring, in vivid color

Sometimes nature plays a trick. It should be spring, with the scent of daffodils in the air, with tulips pushing up through earth warmed by sunshine. And cherry blossom that confettis the street in wedding splendour.

But all you have is several inches of snow that remind you just how long and hard the winter has been.

What can you do except improvise, with a shawl the colour of fuchsia buds and the only leaf you can find.
