The Marmot

Shell – Notes

Here are the notes for today:

Available space — kept plain, neat, and small enough for my pocket.
The simplicity of that pretty pasta; the pleasure of anticipating a meal.
Gratitude that someone thought to shape this bit of pounded grain so beautifully, and so functionally, so that I might
savor a little more sauce in each bite.
Soft, buttery light, spilling along polished wood and rough paper.
The flavor of solitude, much desired. A little salt.
Love of things that are cheerfully tattered, or a little damp, and the stories they tell.
The comfort of finding my way home.
