Walking up the steps to City Hall, you’re drawn to a couple. She’s in stripes and cute leather boots, dressed just the way your wife was the first day you set eyes on her. Back when she had no idea that she was destined to be with you. But one look at her and you just knew.

Destiny – no other word would do. You and she had to be together. So, yeah, she was with someone, but he was out of the picture. You saw to that.

That was then. Now, you shoot from the hip so you don’t disturb the couple in their conversation. Later when you get home, you see you’ve framed it in a different way for this pair – a parallel choice where you walk on unseen in the background and he and she walk on out of the picture together, not even noticing you exist.
