The sky is heavy, leaden. Winter’s steely hues lie all around.
Spring must be on the way but there’s no hint of it in this scene. White on the hills, ice on the water, and nothing but heavy clouds and flat winter light.
A frosted beauty all of its own, but you can’t help but retreat somewhere warm to wait it out until it’s time for the first rays of spring sunshine to strike your face.
