Surely every child goes through this. They watch television, they see the movies, they read adventure stories and comic books and graphic novels...and then they look at their lives and the lives of their parents and they start to imagine. What if.
What if I had hidden powers. What if I was adopted, and my real parents are secret agents. What if I found an ancient artifact that would allow me to be invisible, to fly, to read minds, to have super strength. What if I was a super hero. What if my life was special.
The fact is all those fantasies are true. All children have hidden powers and all their parents are, in some ways, secret agents. All children are invisible, but not necessarily when they want to be. All children can fly, if only in their imagination. And every mask is an ancient artifact and by putting it on every child becomes a super hero.
