How do you surprise an audience whose very retinas seem to have been soaked through with supersaturated digital color, contrast, and shine? Use film.
How do you delight eyes that are jaded from too much perfection? Use a Holga.
How do you turn a tired photograph of a tourist attraction into a landscape that contains within it a gentle, swirling sense of scale, distance, existential reality, and the passage of time?
Wait for rain. Walk further away than anyone else. Hop several meters to one side. Get down low.
