Utata Moderator/Project Coordinator, Joan Hill

Joan has lived in New England her entire life (so far!) and has been working in the world of photography and graphics for over 25 years. Early in her career she worked in Boston as a certified medical photographer and graphic designer, and now works freelance as a designer and an event, performance, editorial and fine art photographer. She also has a great passion for creating digital mandalas, which she exhibits and sells as fine art prints.

She recently completed certification in Graphic and Web Design from Boston University, and now works for several non-profit causes which are dear to her heart. Travel is an important part of her life; in particular she loves to travel to the UK and places of natural beauty. She also loves hand drumming, singing in groups and having fun with her husband, daughter, and three cats.

She has been a member of Utata for four years and on staff for two years, where she moderates and enjoys the camaraderie in Utata discussions on Flickr, plans and announces regular group projects, and occasionally helps out with graphics for the Utata site.
