From the website: "The Eve Experience is a group of women artists from diverse socio-ethnic, linguistic and economic backgrounds. The Eve works are a wide range of continually evolving artistic concepts as experienced through the eyes of women. We bring an open, accepting, and truthful view of ourselves and the world we see within the work we present."
EVE Experience is seeking women artists for its national curated exhibition the Journey Within. This exhibition is a creative exploration of life's journey as women. The EVE Experience realizes the lengths in which women artists must go in order to achieve a successful career in the arts. All interpretations of this theme will be considered.
National Deadline: September 1, 2006
Exhibition Runs October 14th - November 5th, 2006
Sacramento’s famous Harlow’s, Momo Lounge 2708 J Street, Sacramento, California.
Media:
Paintings, photography, printmaking, graphic illustration, watercolor, drawing mixed media, and sculpture. 2 dimensional artworks. (20lbs max.) Maximum size 60" x 72", 3D works not to exceed 20lbs. unless otherwise hand delivered and set up performed by the artist. Large 3D works will be accepted and judge individually by size as space permits. All works MUST be for sale.
Special conditions of Entry:
No Artwork shall breach copyright laws. All works must be completed by women artists.
Fees:
$40 for up to 10 entries. $30 for up to 10 entries for EVE Experience members. One view of 2D works. Two views of 3D works. A % of your admission fee will go to the EVE Experience scholarship fund. Become an EVE Experience member at www.eveexperience.com
100% of sales to the artist. The application fee is not refundable, unless EVE Experience cancels exhibition.
1000 Postcards with accepted artist’s names will be distributed. Press releases and posters downtown will be posted for Sacramento’s Second Saturday Artwalk.
