The Daily Ink is the voice of Utata. Yes, your voice, our voices ... all the voices. We'd be tickled pink if our members helped us define that voice. And this, Utatans, would be your chance to do that.

For more information on Fair Use"It truly caught me off guard, and in a moment of madness, I said OK. That’s what happened when my niece asked me to photograph her daughter, Kori, for her first birthday. I immediately questioned my response and went into a panic. Me, photograph a child?" writes Donna Krischan in Photographing Children.
I found a few other great resources:
There's a discussion going on today in Utata about photographing children - your own specifically - and the decision to do so or not. For some people it's an ethical issue and for others merely one of lifestyle or personal choice. But one thing is for certain ... as one Utatan said "But I find it sad and disappointing that some of these issues discussed above are even in the realm of our imaginations these days."
As I said to Yogi ... "Be an impoverished flickr without those kids of yours, I tell ya!"
Whether you post the pictures to the internet or not, one hopes that people will continue to take way too many photos of their children. What a sad world it would be without such images.
