The Daily Ink is the voice of Utata. Yes, your voice, our voices ... all the voices. We'd be tickled pink if our members helped us define that voice. And this, Utatans, would be your chance to do that.

How true, hd connelly, how true. Over two dozen Utatans weighed in on dumbfunk's question, "Does anybody have either a view on what makes a photo more than just a picture or an example of where you feel that you have captured something more?" Interestingly, though perhaps not surprisingly, no two people seemed to agree on the precise distinction between "art" and "other." (However, I think few would argue with frogmuseum2's proclamation: "Cake is art, without a doubt.")
Meanwhile, over in The Form Of A Personal Project, Utatans are quietly assembling a must-see list of creations that are most certainly Art: their most meaningful ongoing projects. BayRoadPhoto's Fun With Toys set is deeper than it may seem; Rotten Jimmy describes a funeral home that doesn't look nearly as serious as one might expect.
And me? I project I'm gonna go eat some cake.
