The Daily Ink is the voice of Utata. Yes, your voice, our voices ... all the voices. We'd be tickled pink if our members helped us define that voice. And this, Utatans, would be your chance to do that.

Utata.org is, ostensibly, a community site.
But it isn't really. Or wasn't. While the content here may be driven by the Utata community at large, it pretty much all passes through the hands of various admins who actually post things onto the site. This was typically a tedious process, and most of the 'action' is restricted to the flickr discussion group for this reason. As such, members don't have much of a foothold here.
The good news is that as of last weekend, this is changing.
For now, the implications are pretty meager. You can authenticate your flickr account and you can log into Utata using that account. This way we can know both who you are and who you are on flickr, which are some important dots to connect. This will allow you to edit your Utata Member Page and Utata testimonials with a bit more speed, and without contacting the Utata admin staff.
So log in! Set up or modify your Utata Member Page! While it is true that this is pretty basic functionality for a site like Utata to have, and I don't want to oversell it, it is a very fundamental step in enabling a lot of very cool things in the near and long term vision for what Utata.org can be.
Ultimately, it will give you an increasing presence and a voice on the site, and we're extremely eager to see what you folks do with that voice.
