The Daily Ink is the voice of Utata. Yes, your voice, our voices ... all the voices. We'd be tickled pink if our members helped us define that voice. And this, Utatans, would be your chance to do that.

For more information on Fair UseYou've probably never heard of Eutin. A quiet-looking town in northern Germany, its population is only seventeen thousand and its Wikipedia entry is merely two paragraphs long. But something big is happening in Eutin this year: a seven hundred and fiftieth birthday party.
Utata member fotowosch is celebrating his hometown's anniversary by helping to organize a large-scale photographic project, tentatively titled "Meine Stadt, mein Ort, mein Dorf," or "My City, My Town, My Village."
It is our goal to have 750 photographers from all over the world submitting one photograph each of their city, town or village, this way expressing their birthday wishes for Eutin.
Not only will these images comprise a lovely digital birthday card, but at least some of them will be displayed around Eutin during this year's celebrations.
Already in the group pool are good wishes from Canada, Italy, the UK, Hong Kong, and more. As Utatans are such a delightfully far-flung group, I'm certain that we can fill this list out even more. If you'd like to be a part of this project, see the flickr Happy Birthday, Eutin! group for more information.
