The Daily Ink is the voice of Utata. Yes, your voice, our voices ... all the voices. We'd be tickled pink if our members helped us define that voice. And this, Utatans, would be your chance to do that.

For more information on Fair UsePhotography and the iPhone are, in many ways, a match made in heaven. Apple recognized this, and that’s why there’s a whole category in the iTunes App Store called “Photography”....... you’ll find some real treasures here.
Pic Quickr is an Apple App that allows you to browse your Flickr photostream, allowing you to sort by upload date, sets, or tags. You can also upload photos from your device's photo folder, view your contact's photos, your own favorites, and the day's most "interesting" as chosen by Flickr's interestingness algorithm. It's easy and quick to jump to individual photos, run a slideshow, or scroll through individual photos using iphone-style navigation, and photos load quickly due to "intelligent" caching. It's very nice to have on hand if you find yourself wanting to share your "portfolio" on the fly. The one thing it is currently missing is an easy way to navigate directly to your groups, but the developer is seeking input to help guide future updates. It costs just $1.99, has been recently updated for even more streamlined use.
SodaSnap Postcards is a free application that lets you create and share electronic photo postcards right from your device. Browse from your photo library or take fresh images and instantly send it to any email address, along with a quick note. Your message fits right into a classic postcard format, making it lots of fun for dispatches from far-flung locations. Use your device's GPS capabilities to add a tagged geo-location to your postcards, allowing friends to see just exactly you've been. It's fun and extremely easy to use.
If you are miles away from your home-based photo manipulation program, or didn't bring along your "toy" cameras, Camera Bag lets you select new photos or images from your iphone or touch library and create unique versions that emulate vintage camera styles. The App costs $4.99, but promises loads of fun while you're sipping your latte.
The five types of effects are Helga, square-format with a toy camera feel complete with washed-out highlights and old-school vignetting; 1974, an effect like your father’s camera-faded, tinted, and hip; Lolo, vibrant, colorful shots with a white border; Cinema, dramatic, moody, wide-screen stills from your own movie/life, with a black letterbox border; and 1962, dynamic black and whites reminiscent of photojournalism from times past.
Check out the iTunes Photography Apps section for many additional on-the-go photography tools. The blogosphere is loaded with commentary and reviews about many more apps, if you're interested!
