The Daily Ink is the voice of Utata. Yes, your voice, our voices ... all the voices. We'd be tickled pink if our members helped us define that voice. And this, Utatans, would be your chance to do that.

A Getty spokeswoman told us that the amount amateurs will get paid will be decided when images are uploaded to the Getty website early next year.
They elaborate...
When asked whether the photographer will be given details of their prospective fee, before or after their photos appear on the Getty website, the spokeswoman added: 'Getty Images will work directly with Flickr members who are invited to be part of the Flickr collection on gettyimages.com to determine the specifics of each business relationship, and members will have direct connections with representatives at Getty Images.
It'll be interesting to see whether this actually pushes through or not. It's been a long time since the initial press release, but it does look like there's an estimated time of arrival now. Looks like we'll have to wait until next year to see if this project materializes.
