Writer and photographer. Only slightly mad.
You may have come to The Triskaidekagrammatron's stream from one of his quiet self-portraits (or one not so quiet) or a particularly sweet and evocative photo of his son or a surreal image that draws to deeper in to draw to understand it or a lovingly shot flower still on the tree, but you'll stay for the unassuming views into the parts of life that aren't the usual targets of the camera a board game, a cup of coffee being poured, roadsigns on the morning commute, a simple meal, extended family gathered in the kitchen, a letter, the everyday laughter of the people he loves. In the end, we are all privileged to be allowed such an open window into Joel's world, and we can take away with us the gift of being able to really see the small moments in our own, instead of merely passing through them.
