While standing around a bonfire, I issued a challenge for my friends to each come up with a single sentence to sum up their purpose in life. When it was my turn, my answer was, "To let Beauty in its various incarnations draw me to the Good." I think there are a few things that this says about me:
I think a lot. Sometimes too much. I did an undergraduate degree in Philosophy / Great Ideas. Depending on your point of view, this either makes me interesting or really boring while standing around a bonfire.
I believe in Beauty as something objective and real. Also that Beauty pulls us beyond the beautiful object to something more.
I'm an idealist. I think there is Good.
Right now I'm on the cusp of launching into an extended period of self-directed study that will hopefully build my photographic technique to the point where the above statements can be communicated through the pictures I make.
His photographs are celebrations of the details. Adam's work is not merely a collection of macros. Rather, they're
a study in curves, lines, and shape - the foundations of the overall design of the object at large.
