Shane spent his formative years in Kenora, Ontario, Canada, and since then has lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is an Honours graduate of the University of Manitoba's Fine Arts Degree Program in 2000, specializing in Conceptual Art and Painting.
Since graduating, Shane has worked on over 26 feature films and television projects, from Guy Maddin's 'The Saddest Music in the World' to The recent Philip Seymour Hoffman film, 'Capote'. Shane finds photography relaxing, and much easier to clean up than painting!
Shane has an ability to capture every day items in a unique and intriguing way. His creative eye truly comes through in his work especially his night shots.
His love of his home town is evident in the wonderful photos he takes of it and as a fellow resident I am delighted to see his take of the city.
