In my day life I do consulting and project management, primarily for enterprises involved in technology but I'd like to transfer those skills into the culinary field and am working on ways to do that.

I've always had some sort of interest in photography but began taking it more seriously a couple of years ago. At that time I started using photos to illustrate a food-related blog that I write.

When I started posting photos on Flickr another member invited me to join a Seattle Food pool and from there I was introduced to the Seattle Flickr Meetups group. My association with that group has led me to take photography much more seriously and now the words on my blog support the photos instead of vice-versa.

My challenge these days is trying to find balance between my administrative duties with the Meetup group and actually learning and improving my skills. I'm working on changing that balance.
