Education

Studies of Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at the San Francisco Art Institute, SF, CA, USA 1991-1992. Obtained the Continuing Student Merit Award and Foreign Student Scholarship in this institution during 1992. Technical career offered by the Escuela Activa de Fotografia in Mexico City, Mexico, between July 1989 and December 1990.

Besides formal education, Dante has attended several courses and workshops at the Centro de la Imagen (Image Center, the premier photography museum in Mexico) and other institutions. Among them: Architecture and Public Spaces, by Heidi Specker 2007.Critical Review of Contemporary Photojournalism, by Christian Caujolle (Vu Agency) 2000. Documentary Photography: Access, Observation and Image, by Joseph Rodriguez (Black Star) 1998. Photojournalism and Documentary Photography, by Susan Meiselas (Magnum) 1997. Professional Experience

Freelance photographer based in Mexico City, currently working for diverse national and international publications as well as for ad campaigns produced by agencies nation-wide. From December 1993 until December 2002 he represented the international photographic agency Gamma-Liaison (later Getty Images News Service) as a press correspondent in Mexico and Latin America, shooting news and corporate assignments. He is currently represented by the Austrian ANZENBERGER Agency www.anzenberger.com

He has worked for the Mexican and US film industry, shooting production stills in several features, being the most important ones: Una de Dos (Marcel Sisniega 2000), El Tigre de Santa Julia (Alejandro Gamboa 2001), Ciudades Oscuras (Fernando Sarinana 2001), Casa de los Babys (John Sayles 2002), Morirse Esta en Hebreo (Alejandro Springall 2005) and Carnaval de Sodoma (Arturo Ripstein 2005).
