So here is Denim, telling gorgeous stories through cheap plastic lenses, expired film and found negatives -- stories that are more resonant, more true, than if they had been shot through a clear lens. Her work -- primarily photos of the everyday -- has the cool, nostalgic distance of the toy camera, occasional bursts of emotional saturation, and the surprising power of shooting through sunglasses.
