I call myself a Creatrix. My life is in every performance, whether it be a poem, story, painting or photograph. I seek to create my life in freedom of expression, which to me is the freedom to emote or express without self-judgment. Creating connects me to myself. It allows me to see the deeper beauty and ugliness as a part of something more than duality and categorization. It is my universal language of acceptance.
In following Jennifer's photography for more than a year, I've been consistently impressed with her ability to address challenging, difficult, and unnerving personal issues through the medium of photography.
Her written, graphic, photographic, and collage work speaks with a poetic voice that is at once entirely personal, subjective, self-critical, engaging, and challenging. Nevertheless, the meaning of her explorations flow clearly and directly without need for complex analytical tools.
She is.
She is becoming.
She is in the process of becoming.
Watch her grow, learn, study, critique, and explore. Viewing her work gives you an opportunity to discover something about yourself. That's a gift that only we can give ourselves. Jennifer has set forth her own path toward self-discovery.
She's inspiring.
She's inventive.
She's Creatrix.
