I found Utata when I first joined Flickr, which is starting to seem like a while ago.
I am writing this bio cause I just fired up my old membership after having a brief discussion with one of my Flcikr contacts, 7simon.
I think Utata is a pretty special place for a several reasons, and let me preface this by saying I have not been active at all since when I first joined in my enthusiasm.
That being said, the reason that Utata is extraordinary is due to the timing of Utata as a group with the growth and success of Flickr as both an online photo sharing site and more importantly, one of early success stories of Web 2.0 and the technology of Social Networks.
I see the Utata badge on most of the people whom I consider the really brilliant photographers on Flickr.
