Educator-turned copy editor, gardener, photographer, contemplative practitioner. . . some of these pay the bills, some pay my rent on the planet.
I started shooting black and white film as a teen, when I'd produce images with a beat-up, 35mm and an enlarger set up in the mud room. Dust was my nemesis. Today my kit includes a dSLR and a Mac, and I am mostly at peace with my dust.
When I look through Lee's photostream, I get the feeling that she never forgets her camera at home or is ever too preoccupied to pass up that shot that she'll later regret not getting. Her eye and her camera can discover and capture the most intriguing composition whether it's a portrait, a wintry pond or fruit on the cutting board. Her images *show* her dedication and love of photography and suffused through it all like tea in hot water is serenity, beauty, wit and - how does she pull it off? - intelligence.
