I have always loved art, and dabble in different mediums like a bad habit. I have experimented with watercolor, quache, pencil, prismacolor, ink, oils, pastels, and have even tried my hand at some lacework and furniture refinishing with hand painted designs and wood burning. I finally tried photography seriously in November of 2005, and all the other projects have been put on hold! I love the rush you get when you take that one photo you think is perfect!
I'm making arrangements to take a photography course soon, simply to understand what it all means.....it gets very confusing sometimes. It looks like I'm hooked! The only thing that might get in the way of my "mad" photo habit is if I got my hands on a welder. I'd love to create things from metal scraps on a large scale. I don't see THAT happening tomorrow, SO, I'll keep the focus on bettering myself through the eye of the lense.
Sandy has an immense talent for capturing things we've largely forgotten about. Old cars, old parts...these things that are so overlooked suddenly become interesting and engaging once again through her pictures! She has an amazing talent!
Here's one of my favs from her stream:
