Mary tells stories through lush visual accounts of her beautiful surroundings replete with vivid colour, a wonderful kaleidescope of people, religious iconography and landscape, often illuminated by a stark, intense sun. She captures cultural icons, and places them in a context that is immediately revealing and tantalizing, a veritable documentation of eclectic themes and objects that regularly engage her observations. I constantly feel that I am tasting a new and unfamiliar world when perusing her photography.
