When I think back to who the most influential photographers have been to me over this last year, Rhi comes to mind. Not only is she a creative and brilliant photographer, she is one of the most genuine and sincere people I have ever had the privilege of meeting.
It shows in her photography that she has a deep connection with everything she chooses to shoot. Whether it's the hauntingly dreamy quality of the photos of her sister, the charming smile of her son or her stellar self-portraits, I'm convinced there really isn't a subject she can't shoot and shoot well. She also has a way of breathing life into the inanimate things around her as well, allowing them to take on personalities as of their own.
I think it's a gift to be so talented and also be able to give so much to others. She does this without effort every single day. I know I'm not only better as a photographer from knowing Rhi, I know I'm a better person. She's reached her next stage of photographic evolution and I'm anxiously watching as she now moves onto master a digital SLR.
Take a look and you'll be hooked by the Cheshire Cat smile and the rapier like wit she possesses. It's scary that this is just the beginning for her and she'll just keep getting better and better!
