I've always taken photographs, ever since I was about 6 years old. I was happy doing what I was doing but apart from a couple of terms of evening classes ten years or more ago, I never pushed myself at all.
Then in 2005, I discovered Flickr, and things started to change. I joined groups, read books, and started projects. I almost made the jump to digital, but I'm glad I didn't. But, hey, let's not start a fight about what's best. Film works for me, that's all.
I'm learning a lot, and sometimes it works out, others... well. My photos are what they are.
Though I love photography and I don't want to downgrade the role it plays in my life, writing is really my thing.
I write a bit for a living, and when I'm not working, (or taking photos) I write fiction. I've been writing for around ten years seriously. I'll probably never win a great literary prize, but as long as people read, I'll keep writing.
