This is my first foray into digital SLR photography, though I have taken photos ever since I first received my father's old Yashica 35mm Range Finder (which I still have) when I was 8. The photos you see on Flickr are primarily taken with my Nikon D70s, though some photos are from my Nikon 990 -- which I will soon pass onto my 6 year old daughter.
I belong to the old school of photography in that I limit post processing and restrict usage to only straightening and B&W (the D70s has no B&W function). Admittedly, some of the effects that you can do in Photoshop, Picasa, etc are fantastic, but for me, that crosses over to digital art, which in itself is an art.
I have two very active children so I don't really get to shoot anything else but. I am refining my children photography techniques; trying to capture them at the best...and worse.
I have recently bought some cheap screw on close-up lens filters to do macro and the results are interesting....still much to learn in this type of photography.
I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I have enjoyed taking them. I welcome your comments and suggestions - the best way to learn.
Enjoy!
