I always admire people who carry their cameras faithfully and *use* them, rather than bringing them out for either important occasions or specific photo shoots. Katya doesn't miss a thing! We are not talking "snapshots" here. Her images are like investigations and explorations into the world around her, sometimes followed by further explorations into textural enhancements and coloration.

Her captures of people, whether on the streets or family, make it clear she works in a friendly fashion with a good heart and does not intimidate. Even the animals seem to adore her! Every person or scene she captures seems to have been looked at with tenderness or joy, beyond wide open eyes.
