I've been inactive for an extended period of time due to a meltdown of my PC. The inactivity has finally soon come to an end. I replaced my PC with a new Mac and have completed my move from Colorado Springs to Bismarck, ND. My wife grew up on a farm near the small town of Hazelton, ND
Joined Flickr after stumbling onto
im pastor rick's photos. His photos of old barns and stuff inspired me to start out uploading some old shots I have from my first visit to North Dakota. Now I'm completely addicted to Flickr.
My earlier shots were taken with my first camera, a Sony CyberShot DCS-717. I sold that camera in December 2005, then painfully saved and waited 5 months for my current camera, a Canon 30D with a EF-S 17 - 85 mm F4.5 - F5.6 IS USM (27 - 136 mm equiv. FOV, 5x zoom) lens....what a BIG difference....I have sooooo much to learn.....but Flickr has inspired me to go out and start shooting/learning again. I spent one month in Dalian, China "breaking in" (learning to use) my Canon 30D. I wish I'd of had more time to learn before I visited China.
I grew up an "Air Force brat"....moved around a lot....wonderful memories of living in Cardiff, Wales for three years.....my Mum is Welsh, and my Dad is Pennsylvania Dutch/German.
