Bryan Partington is a Videographer and general ne'er-do-well originally hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Under the alias 'striatic', Bryan has been a member of the Flickr community for the better part of three years beginning with Game Neverending, Flickr's precursor. He is an administrator of "Flickr Central", "Squared Circle" and is the Founder of the Toronto Flickr Meetup Group. In 2005 he traversed North America, encountering local Flickr communities. More recently, he served as the Technical Editor for "How to Use Flickr: The Digital Photography Revolution".
Browsing through Bryan's photostream is an exquisite visual adventure. In his recent work, he has explored black-and white imaging with a very special twist: He employs tone-mapping, noise, screening and sparsely used yet effective image processing to create a very special visual language. Be sure not to miss some of his earlier work: Bryan is a master of subdued colors, something that one doesn't often see on Flickr. Being an accomplished draftsman, he creates images with impressive compositions. He combines all of this with dry humour and a fine sense of surreal situations, so the viewer is sure to find something to chuckle and think about.
