Complete amateur, striving to get better.

I don't know if its been said before, but the primitive belief that taking one's picture captures their soul has it backwards. It's the photographer's soul, not the subject's, that's captured with each click of the shutter. I think the reason I've become addicted to photography lately is in the hopes of leaving behind a lasting bit of my soul after I'm gone.
