“Life seems but a quick succession of busy nothings.” - Jane Austen
That quote unfortunately seems to describe my daily life. This weekend, I plan to slow down and enjoy life by diving into a good book. I know that many of us are avid readers (there are 1,018 Utata topics that mention books) and I assume that everyone has at least one book in their home or easily at hand.
So, the next two weeks (Feb 1st and Feb 8th) will be the first meeting of the Utata Book Club (thanks to Joan for the title). Any photographical creation inspired by or involving books goes: dress up like a favorite character, interpret your favorite passage or a line (with the quote in the photo description), recreate a scene from your favorite novel, rewrite Shakespeare, use books in unconventional ways. If you can include the title and author in the photo description and in the thread with the photo, it would be a nice introduction to some new reading material for all of us.
So snuggle up with a good book, and share with us your literature inspired images.
Oh, and for inspiration, here is one more quote from Austen, which reminds me of Utata in particular:
“My idea of good company is the company of clever, well-informed people who have a great deal of conversation; that is what I call good company.” - Jane Austen
Participating in this Utata project is simple! You need to do/have the following three things and then all you have to do is tag your photos utata:project=bookclub (read about other tagging options) and you're all set! Have fun!
