This month we shall be exploring and emulating the photographic style of Todd Hido. Greg's original Salon will re-familiarize you with his work, and you can also check out this video on You Tube in which Todd discusses his work. Todd has had several books published, which include explorations of landscape and night photography, some of which is shot from the confines of his car. Hido also shoots portraits using an interesting variety of cameras. Many of his portraits have been shot with a vintage 126 film camera, which he began to use to help his subjects relax, and that he appreciates for its "almost amateurish" style and harsh flash.
