I'm really proud of this one. It was one of those moments when the light was right and you suddenly see a picture in a scene you've walked past hundreds of times. You take an offhand photo, but it blows you away when it appears on the paper. I love it because it's not the type of photo 400 tourists would also think to take when walking by; it's something that has a sense of me in it. I really like the spaces in this. MmmmmmmMmmm. Maybe I could've found a slightly better framing though. But like I said, it was pretty offhand.
If you can't stand the heat, the old saying goes, get out of the kitchen. With Iron Photographer we put out the heat AND kept you in the kitchen.
Three simple elements: 1) shot in the kitchen, 2) with something not ordinarily found in the kitchen, 3) using natural light. So simple...and yet the results were so spectacular.
