Our newest weekend project is all about “KITSCH”. The Urban Dictionary describes kitsch as something “Sentimentally charming, tacky and fun all rolled up in one. One catch with kitch is that you're never quite sure if it's supposed to be serious or not. It's that uncertainty that is amusing.” For the next two weeks your assignment is to go hunt down anything kitschy, such as garden gnomes, plastic pink flamingos, Virgin Mary night lights, or anything having to do with Elvis, and create an interesting photograph with it!
