You know what there's a shortage of? Novel ideas for Weekend Projects. You know what there's no shortage of? Leaves. Can't move for them. If they're not skittering across the road and crowding into drifts then they're slumping damply against kerbs or floating in lakes and puddles or just dangling there on the damn trees and bushes. Waiting to fall. And no sooner have they all fallen and been brushed and raked and blown into neat piles when the next generation starts to ooze out of buds dripping sticky sap onto your freshly washed car.
