buckhannon, west virginia...the promise of tomorrow with the dignity of yesterday. my favorite part about this little town is the main street and its architecture. the store fronts are uniquely colored, sprouting with bright flowers, and the skyline is tapered against, usually, clear blue skies. downtown is always busy, especially around lunch time. it's always hard to make a decision about where to have lunch. desert is not a question, though. we have an old school Dairy Queen with walk-up window service only. there are lots of historical markers here, but new restaurants and shops are always popping up and growing on main street.
