The Utata Picture This phrase was "Diary of a Time Traveler". We're to come up with an image to suit the expression. This is what I came up with... but the story goes far beyond the recent 'challenge'.
Chad's had this undeveloped roll of C10 film in his possession since we were married. Turns out, it was from a 3rd grade trip his family made to Vancouver Island. It has always intrigued me. What undeveloped roll of film wouldn't!?
Anyway... then, at work recently, I've been "investigating" the drawer where we place items people turn into us that they've found. In the drawer, amid all the keys, key rings / fobs, etc, were three rolls of film. Two were loose, one was in a bright yellow panoramic camera. They've been there at least a few years. They nagged at me...
So finally, yesterday, I did it. I took them AND Chad's C10 to a film place in town. One roll (the 35 mm you see here) was unexposed. The C10 has shots on it, but their equipment won't print them (hint - if you want to buy me a neg scanner, feel free!) The other 35 mm has a few shots on it, but they're fogged over. And the last roll was a black & white, which the lab also doesn't have the ability to develop.
So I was looking at the negs here today, and the title of the Utata project came to my mind - it really was like time traveling! So I paired these old negs with the newer technologies for cameras and my "Diary". Hence - Diary of a Time Traveler!
