Photo #1: Misfit

These connectors screw into DIN-style scuba tank valves to allow the use of an a-clamp regulator.

This photo is also a fairly clear example of the fabled "Rule of Thirds." In summary: roughly two-thirds of the picture is given over to white, while the central horizontal third contains the "substance" of the photo. In addition, the conceptual focal point of the inverted adaptor lies roughly one-third of the distance from the left to the right edge of the picture.

Photo #2: Adaptor Behavior

These connectors screw into DIN-style scuba tank valves to allow the use of an a-clamp regulator.

Like "Misfit", this photo also employs the Rule of Thirds. However, in this case, the rule's usage is more subtle. If you look carefully - or draw a grid - you'll notice that the front adaptor fills two-thirds of the frame width. In addition, a focal "hot point" - a third of the way across and two-thirds of the way down - lies in the hole of the adaptor.
