This is an obvious example, to me anyway, of a composition using the Rule of Thirds. The horizontal elements: sky/tree line, water, and rocks/foreground are all situated in roughly 1/3 proportion. The figures are placed in the lower right corner, roughly taking up 1/9 of the 9 quadrants.
At first glance this doesn't look like it was composed using the Rule of Thirds because the focus seems to point to the centre. But if you follow her outline against the water you notice an interesting alignment along a grid. In an almost step-like fashion, the water seems to encroach on the figure.
