Photo #1: Kirsten at the Met: Look into the light
It seems I always run to Kirsten when I get a new camera, and for good reason. Kirsten is, of course, known to Flickr as Baby Dove.
TechTata: This photo strictly follows the rule of thirds, and also another standard rule of portraiture -- she's looking into the frame, not away from it. Of course, these are more hints than universal laws, but I think they work here.
