From the boardwalk without flash. I think the railings detract from the image in this shot, visually they take up too much space.

From the boardwalk with fill-in flash. I prefer this. The railings provide a context for the view and not so much a distraction. I prefer the other composition though, with the post closer to the right edge of the frame.
