The telephone has definitely had many evolutionary changes over the past century both technically and aesthetically. It comes in all colors, shapes and sizes from the simple utilitarian object like a pay phone, to the arty phones of the 60s and kitschy character phones of the 70s & 80s...to the gadgets we have today that would have been considered science fiction 20 years ago.

So for the next two weekends we are devoting our weekend project to the Telephone. Let's see what kind of works of art you can create with your telephones. There's lots of different approaches you can do with this project. The phone can be the main subject of your image..such as in a still life, or it can be a prop in a more conceptual image that tells a story.....but please make sure your image is all about the telephone... and be creative!
